# Overview

> Get to know the Schedule — the team calendar where you book jobs, tasks, time off, and lead activity, switch between day, week, and month views, and filter down to what you need to see.

The **Schedule** is your team's shared calendar. It's where you see who's working on what, book jobs and tasks, log time off, and keep everyone's day organized in one place. Open it from **Schedule** in the main navigation.

<Note>
  What you can see and do on the Schedule depends on your role. Some people can view and book for the whole team, while others see only their own work. If a control mentioned here isn't on your screen, your role may not include it.
</Note>

## Find your way around

When the Schedule opens, you'll see the calendar filling most of the screen, with a row of controls along the top.

* **Today** jumps the calendar back to the current date.
* The **left and right arrows** move you backward and forward through time — by day, week, or month depending on your current view.
* The **date range** in the middle tells you which stretch of time you're looking at.
* **Create New** (top-right) is how you add anything to the calendar.
* **Filters** narrows the calendar down to specific people, clients, or types of work.

## Choose how the calendar looks

Two dropdowns near the top let you control the layout.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Pick a time span">
    Use the **Day / Week / Month** dropdown to zoom in or out. **Day** shows a single day in detail, **Week** shows the full work week, and **Month** gives you the big picture.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Group by person or by job">
    Use the **User / Job** dropdown to change how the calendar is organized. **User** lays out the calendar by team member, so you can see each person's day. **Job** groups everything by job instead, so you can see all the work tied to a single job together.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  **Week view in User mode** is the everyday starting point for most teams — it shows the whole crew and the whole week at a glance.
</Tip>

## Add something to the calendar

Everything you book starts from the **Create New** button in the top-right corner. Open it and choose what you want to add:

* **Lead Activity** — book a visit or follow-up tied to a sales lead.
* **Job** — schedule a job, set the days and times, and assign the crew.
* **Task** — add a standalone to-do for a team member.
* **Time Off** — log when someone is unavailable.

<Tip>
  You can also book directly on the calendar: click (or click-and-drag) an empty slot on the day and time you want, and the same create options appear pre-filled with that date and time.
</Tip>

To open something that's already on the calendar, just click the event. Its details open in a panel where you can review or make changes.

## Focus on what matters

A busy calendar can show a lot at once. Use **Filters** (top-right) to trim it down to exactly what you need — for example, certain team members, specific clients, particular roles, or only one type of activity. Once you've set up a view you use often, you can save it so it's one click to come back to it later.

<Note>
  If your account works across more than one branch, the Schedule can show work from your other branches together in one calendar. Events from another branch open in a read-only view so you can see what's happening without changing it by mistake.
